Our processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with current national and European legislation, in particular with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Which of your personal data is processed?

We process personal data provided in connection with the use of our services (especially buying and selling cars, car service and car rental), or in connection with the conclusion of the corresponding contracts. In addition to the data provided directly, we collect data related to the website visit; more detailed information about this data can be found in the Cookies document.

Neither the website nor our services are directed at persons under the age of 18, so we do not knowingly collect personal information from persons under the age of 18. If we learn that we have processed the personal data of persons under the age of 18, we will delete them from our records, unless the personal data was provided with the express consent of their parent or legal guardian.

In particular, we process the following personal data:

  • Name and surname
  • E-mail
  • Telephone number
  • Date of birth or social security number
  • Residence or headquarters
  • VIN of the car, model of the car and license plate of the car

    • Why do we process your personal data?

    We process your personal data so that we can provide you with the services and products you have shown interest in. We process data mainly for the performance of the contract and as part of your actions aimed at concluding the contract. We send other offers of similar products and services to customers based on the administrator's legitimate interest. We also process personal data to a partial extent for the fulfillment of statutory obligations (e.g. keeping invoices for tax records).


    Other recipients of personal data

    Your data is safe with us and we choose our processors carefully. All our partners are bound by confidentiality obligations and may not use the provided data for purposes other than those specified.

    We make personal data available in general to the following persons in particular:

  • persons to whom we provide data for the purpose of analyzing traffic to our websites (e.g. Google Analytics);
  • persons who ensure the technical operation of a certain service for us or operators of technologies that we use for our services (e.g. server hosting);
  • operators of advertising systems in connection with targeted advertising (e.g. Sklik or Google AdWords systems);

    • Under certain conditions, we are obliged to transfer your personal data, on the basis of valid legal regulations, e.g. to the Police of the Czech Republic or other authorities active in criminal proceedings, including specialized departments or other public administration authorities.

    We process your personal data in accordance with the applicable legal regulations (in particular with the GDPR) and only on the basis of relevant legal titles, in particular on the basis of the legal reason for the performance of the contract and the legitimate interests of the controller.

    We process personal data only to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of their processing, with an emphasis on their accuracy, transparency in the area of processing and compliance with appropriate security measures.

    • In cases where the processing is based on your consent (and therefore does not fall under another legal title, such as the above-mentioned: performance of the contract, legitimate interest of the controller and fulfillment of statutory obligations), it is of course possible to revoke the voluntarily granted consent to the processing of personal data at any time free of charge. You can withdraw your consent as easily as you gave it, by sending an appropriate email message tosekretariat@kodecar.czPlease keep in mind that revocation of consent does not affect the further possibility to continue processing personal data on the basis of another legal title.
