Kodecar was founded in 1992 with eight employees, six cars and a plan to sell then almost unknown Japanese cars in Přívoz, Ostrava. Thirty years later, Kodecar is a company with a hundred employees, three branches and thousands of customers.
Much has changed, but our goal remains the same: honest work done properly. Behind every repair, every delivered car and every tightened bolt stands the cooperation of our whole team. Mechanics, storekeepers, salespeople, assistants, Ivan, Jiří... We are one team.
Everything we do is about movement, speed. Our charitable work focuses on helping people around us regain mobility. Modification of cars for wheelchair users, education, HandyCyklo Marathon, Handicap Days... We help where it makes sense.
We do not only support large projects. We also help individual people when it matters. Kuba, confined to a wheelchair since the age of five, was in dire need of a better, larger wheelchair. We are very happy that we could help Kuba with the purchase of a new wheelchair.
Experts from Veselý vozík helped us choose special equipment for promising sledge hockey player Lukáš. Lukáš, you are a fighter, and we were glad to help.
An international event that helps professionals from non-profit organizations exchange their practical experience and thus improve services for people with disabilities. We are proud to regularly be at this event of European importance and provide the necessary cars for the participants.
2222 km across the Czech Republic and Slovakia, a limit of 111 hours, teams composed of a mix of healthy and disabled athletes - that's the Handy Cyklo Marathon in a nutshell. The Ostrava team can rely on our cars every year.
